Being forced to do something

Internal motivation. Intrinsic motivation. External reward. External feedback. Punishment. Part of our routine. You just have to do that at school. You can’t not go to school without any clothes on. You need to eat something. I’ll give you this if you do that. If you do that your friends may not like that and may not want to play with you anymore.

Sequences.

Consequences.

List of steps. Whose steps. Whose choices. Is it task dependent? It is interaction dependent? Is it environment dependent?

What does it take to change something? Is that possible? Impossible? A bit hard to do. Or not recommended at all due to safety reasons as its extremely dangerous.

List of things that you ‘have’ to do over the course of the day?

List of times during the day when you ‘can’ actively make a choice?

List of activities during the day when you ‘can’ actively make a choice?

Quantity of time during the day when you ‘can’ engage in things that you like doing? Quantity of times during the day when you ‘can’ engage in things that you like doing without someone else telling you how to do it versus working it our yourself?

When. are the times during the day, the week or the month that you ‘need’ or ‘have to’ follow someone else’s rules? So they ‘have permission’ to force you to do something? Or to ‘stop’ you from doing something? These rules, are they safety based? Efficiency based? Are there other ways around it or are they there for a reason? If not, do you ‘actually’ have permission to do it in a different way, or is it just an ‘old rule’ or ‘role rule’ as to why you need to do it this way because someone else tells you or told you to?
