On topic vs Off topic

Taking a long time to explain something can be context dependent. It can also be absolutely 100% appropriate use of language to describe the details of what is happening. Yet ‘we’ generally tend to complain when someone is too talkative because there are less frequent gaps and its not a balanced conversation. This then brings up the ‘purpose’ of that conversation and the ‘roles’ of each of the people interacting with each other.

How do you decide what is on topic or not? Do you both have the same knowledge base? Are you actively sharing knowledge at ‘that’ period of time or are you engaging in other types of tasks where the conversation is just background information. Foreground and background can be an easy topic to understand or it can be challenging. It is simply a layered approach. Individuals who spend a lot of time look at different quality graphics may find this incredibly easy to complete and just need to know that precision is an absolute requirement. These types of graphics are also heavily used within the Graphics industry for advertising and marketing. Older siblings may expose younger siblings to a greater variety of depth of content and this may be helpful in expanding personal interests and possible vocational outcomes later versus earlier.
